Kennel History

Golden Acre Kennels Pet Boarding Facility was established in 2001 by Dan and Lisa Block. It was built in their backyard and has since grown into a dog kennel, play area, and much, much more. Owners live on the premises, so they are close to your pet. There is music played continuously throughout the kennel. Our facility offers a clean, comfortable environment with experienced dog lovers taking care of your pets.

About the Owner

Lisa Block has owned and operated Golden Acre Kennels since the Fall of 2001. Prior to that, she worked at a local veterinary clinic as a Veterinary Assistant for 5 years gaining knowledge of dogs. She has trained dogs as well as shown them. Lisa loves animals and enjoys loving and caring for them. Your pet will be well taken care of with Lisa and her staff caring for them while you are away. If your pet has special needs, let us know. We can administer medications or special diets, whatever your pet may need.

Kennel Information

All kennels are indoor with in-floor heat for winter and facility is air conditioned in the summer. There are outdoor kennels where dogs are taken out numerous times throughout the day. We also offer a large outdoor fenced play yard, where your dog will get lots of play time with other furry friends. Whether they are hanging out in the pools, running through the tunnel or playing on the canine jungle gym, your dog will never want to leave! If for some reason, you do not want your dog to play with others, they will get their own individual play time sessions. If the weather does not cooperate, your dog will get play time inside.
